1. Know your wedding style.
Decide if your wedding is going
to be formal, semi-formal, or informal before you start
selecting vendors. You want to make sure that everything fits
the correct style that you want for your big day.
2. Figure out your budget range.
It is important to know your financial
limits before you start shopping for vendors. You should also
decide how much of your budget you are willing to spend on each
element, such as the gown, florist, and reception hall.
3. Know what you need. Before
coming to the showcase, figure out exactly what you are looking
for, whether it's a dress, caterer, or transportation. Knowing
what you are looking for before you arrive will help you navigate
through all of the exhibitors with much more ease.
4. For the fashionshow...
You want to look at the appropriate dress for the appropriate
time. There are different style gowns for various styles and timing
of the wedding, such as formal day vs. semi-formal evening. Do
research beforehand or come with questions to ask the exhibitors.
(The same principle applies to the groom and bridal party's attire.)
5. Come with all of your questions.
There is a lot to know when preparing
for your big day, so come to the showcase with all of your questions.
The exhibitors are all professionals and they are here to help
you with all of your wedding planning needs.
6. Pick up business cards.
This is important so that you can
get in touch with these vendors after the show. Take notes about
the company on the back of the card, it will help you remember
which vendors you liked best.
