The Council is an independent 501c3 organization housed under the Chamber.

Vision:
The greater Trenton region will be an acclaimed destination for the arts.

Mission:
We exist to best connect the greater Trenton Arts Community with the regional business community in order to foster strong relationships, develop resources for the arts and advance the region as an arts destination.

This is accomplished through the following objectives:

1. Help to create a “sense of place”

   • Greater Trenton as an Arts destination

   • Heighten awareness through promotion of the arts

   • Impact of the arts on “quality of life”

   • If a sense of place is successfully created this will be the “economic engine”

2. Establish connections

   • Relationship building between the arts community and the business community

   • Provide resources to the arts community: “enable” them

   • Establish a working “community calendar” and website

   • Business Volunteers for the Arts program

3. The Council must play an advocacy role

   • Advocate for fair share state/county funding in the region

   • Seek out private sector funding opportunities to benefit all members
