The Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the following sponsors:

YBLC provides a forum in which young business leaders have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, network with colleagues and participate in projects that have an impact on them professionally, while at the same time impacting the Chamber of Commerce and community.

Those interested in taking a proactive role in the council’s development and leadership will be interview for consideration. How the Council Works

Meetings: The Executive Council will meet every month and the General Council will meet every other month. The expected duration of the Executive Council meeting and General Council bi-monthly meetings is 90 minutes. Dates and times of all meetings will be determined by the current YBLC members.

Business/Networking Meeting: The Council will meet at different times throughout the year in different venues in order to provide opportunities for networking and development. These meetings may be either a breakfast meeting or an evening networking event and will include other Chamber members and Chamber Board members.

Upcoming YBLC Events

The Council will attend a quarterly continuing education class at our local colleges. Duration is approximately four hours (one half of a business day). Schedule and Topics to be announced pending survey

Council members are encouraged to attend Chamber functions. At a minimum Council members will commit to attending four Chamber luncheons over the course of the year. A luncheon runs from 11:30 a.m. through approximately 1:30 p.m. and is held each month. Schedules of all Chamber functions are on the Chamber Events Calendar.

YBLC has the opportunity to further develop leadership and teamwork. All council members are expected to take on leadership roles in the execution of projects. The Council will decide what types of projects it wishes to engage in and set appropriate timelines for execution. Each year the YBLC chooses a non-profit organization as the recipient of a fundraising activity that the council will conduct on their behalf. Council members will receive media coverage and special recognition at Chamber events.

Announcing this year’s non-profit…..
